    Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for a Construction Project Engineer who is ready to engage in a large alternative delivery (CMGC) project in Los Angeles County. This project is a multi-year project that will add bus lanes from North Hollywood to Pasadena. This widening will increase BRT lanes and capacity. It will be the largest, most impactful BRT CMGC project in Southern California. The project is currently in Pre‑Construction and when construction starts, the project size will be over $250 Million Dollars. This is a great opportunity to join the team as we are doing early work packages and prior to the project breaking ground, influencing project design, staging and contributing to the success of this critical project to improve mobility ahead of the 2028 Olympics.We are looking for a person that is capable of thinking outside the box, understands multi‑staged construction projects, is detail‑oriented with experience in heavy civil construction. The position is directly accountable for the safety, financial performance, and team development on site.This position will integrate with the project's civil team that focuses on MOT, Roadway, Concrete Pavement, Drainage, Electrical and Overhead Signs. Your role on the civil team will depend on your desires as well as strengths and previous experience. In addition to self‑performing various scopes on the project the civil team will also cultivate and maintain strong relationships with the subcontractors, and suppliers as well LA Metro, Cities of Glendale, Los Angeles & Pasadena as well as third‑party Construction Management and Design Staff.Key ResponsibilitiesWork on site to help solve problems that occur during constructionPartner with Project Superintendent in development of a project site logistics planMaintain thorough understanding of the Myers contract with CaltransMonitor project costs and Job Cost ReportAnalyze and forecast monthly Total Cost Projection reportsMonitor project laborLead the project's quality processDevelop, schedule and lead project teams on submittals, RFIs and Change OrdersDevelop and maintain effective relationships with the Designer, vendors, subcontractors and ownersImplement all applicable Safety ProgramsQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering2+ Years of Experience in highly complex and related highway or structures construction projects in CaliforniaExperience dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and self‑perform workExperience leading a successful project team, including development of employees and maintaining relationships with external entitiesExcellent organizational, team management, problem‑solving, motivational skills.BenefitsHealth Insurance (Medical/Dental/Vision) – our company covers 80 % of the healthcare cost for our employees and their dependents.
