Position SummaryReporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Senior Project Engineer will coordinate and execute construction projects in the organization. Working day to day with the EPCM firm, the Senior Project Engineer will be the first point of contact for the company with our third‑party service providers. Another aspect of the job is to evaluate and assist in supervising the plant operations once construction is complete.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesExecutes site searches for future projects and evaluates site viability for project needsManages permitting and construction of a pilot plant facilityCompletes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elementsExecutes project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with managementDetermines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from contractorsCompletes technical studies and prepares cost estimatesConfirms product performance by designing and conducting testsDetermines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elementsMaintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problemsControls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actionsControls project costs by analyzing quotes and timesheets and provides guidance to the management and contracts teamPrepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actionsMaintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulationsMaintains company reputation by complying with federal and state regulationsWorks with the Operational Readiness team to ensure a safe hand off to operationsOnce operational, the position will switch to the following:Attend daily operations meetingsPlan and execute preventative maintenanceReview plant dataBeing preparing future engineering studies for expansionEducation & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Process Engineering; PMP Designation is an assetRegistered (or the ability to register) Professional Engineer in the state of NevadaA minimum of 7 years of project engineering and project management experience, ideally in metallurgical processing projectsStrong background in construction safety managementExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Project and other project related software.#J-18808-Ljbffr
