This role may manage contract administration and construction engineering and inspection (CEI) operations of highway and/or bridge construction projects per DOT contract documents, procedures, specifications and manuals. The Senior Project Engineer provides oversight and review of SiteManager activities to ensure compliance with contract. The role requires contact with client, typically a governmental agency, private entities including construction contractors, and other SAM staff.Review and interpret plans, specifications, construction schedules and other construction documents for clarity, completeness, sequence and constructabilityFacilitate continuous coordination between all stakeholdersOrganize and conduct the pre‑construction meetingsChair weekly construction progress meetings as appropriateCoordinate with Project Manager to monitor CEI budget.
