Sr. Project Engineers are responsible for supporting the technical execution of Hunting Subsea projects. Activities include the design, analysis, testing, manufacturing and installation support through all phases of project development and deployment.
Responsibilities:
Design activities will include creative brainstorming, proof-of-concept calculations, system layouts, top-down assembly design, detail component design and drafting.
Analysis activities will include classical handbook calculations, engineering spreadsheets, and Finite Element Analysis for determinations of structural integrity, stability, fatigue, and fracture per the applicable company practices and industry driving requirements.
Testing activities will include hands-on involvement during internal verification programs, as well as technical monitoring of external laboratories.
Manufacturing support will include direct interface with both internal and external shops to promote efficient product development, mitigate non-conformances, and provide disposition as necessary.
Installation assistance will be required for each product through installation, operation, repair, and decommission.
Project planning in terms of the following: system layout and detail design, system analysis and verification, manufacturing support, documentation, reports, design reviews and customer presentations
Performs other duties as assigned
Additional responsibilities of Sr. Project Engineers:
Responsible for product development in response to customer requirements.
Lead technical discussions and meetings for projects in support of the Project Management team and supporting functions.
Technical mentoring and direction provided to other less experienced engineers on the team
Required Skills and Experience:
Required: Bachelor's degree from four-year accredited college or university, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent
Required: Sr. Project Engineers must have 10+ years of experience in field or adjacent field
Preferred: Advanced degree in Engineering, business or other technical focus
