    Senior Project Engineer - Urbandale, IowaExperience Level: Mid-seniorExperience Required: 5 YearsEducation Level: Bachelor's degreeJob Function: Project ManagementIndustry: InsurancePay Rate: View hourly pay rateTotal Position: 1Relocation Assistance: NoVisa Sponsorship Eligibility: NoJob Summary Reporting to the Project Lead, the Sr. Project Manager is responsible for managing and supporting work streams within a program of work and ensuring strategy and execution are performed to completion in accordance with the overall work stream vision.Accountable for the delivery of successful transitions and integration, the incumbent will be managing direct and indirect resources across geographically dispersed locations. He/she must be comfortable interacting with local and regional level senior stakeholders and will be a self-motivated individual who can drive objectives to conclusion with minimal oversight and direction.Workstreams will include people, process, technology, and real estate components that deliver the end state Target Operating Model for MMC Finance. The incumbent must be experienced in major change initiatives and have a proven record of delivery of major projects.Responsibilities Communicates to key management colleagues and team members the multiple project activities which need to be accomplished across regions or functions.Prioritize and manage multiple projects and programs.Selects and utilizes project implementation documentation including implementation toolkits and migration schedules.Supports the facilitation of project by escalating risk and its impact on business initiatives to management within the organization.Provide strategic support for the portfolio of work, designing and creating strategic documents such as Project Business cases, Assessments, Communication plans, and detailed project plans.Presents project updates and makes presentations to senior level management within Finance.Provide support and lead in the decision-making process required for progress on assigned programs/projects, facilitating problem solving and decision making on key project items.Support work stream controls and compliance.Proactively follows and adheres to project controls for assigned projects.Proactively identifies and resolves issues; manages project/program deliverables, mitigates risk, escalates issues to management, and ensures change control processes for assigned projects and programs across functions are functioning and aligned.Education Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (MBA, Masters) in Economics, Finance, or similar field. Equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree is also acceptable.5+ years' experience in Finance and Accounting; 2-3 years of project management experience can be part of experience.Proven people manager with strong communication and influencing skills.Strong project management skills; PMP certification preferred but not required.Additional Information The strategy will deploy multiple workstreams globally covering people, processes, and technology. All workstreams will be interdependent and need to be synchronized. The stakeholder environment is sensitive and challenging and will form a key focus of this role, along with strong HR collaboration. The program is likely to encounter directional or scope changes at late stage, and the incumbent will have to manage this successfully with minimal supervision.#J-18808-Ljbffr
