You will carry deliverable responsibility to the client, oversee project resources and quality, and work in close coordination with the assigned Project Manager to manage scope, schedule, budget, and client engagement across multidisciplinary teams.Major EPC firm, strong comp rangeWhat You'll DoLead multi-discipline teams of engineers and technicians on large and complex substation projectsManage diverse project portfolios spanning design services and EPC programsOversee design quality, budget, and schedule across multiple disciplinesSupport client interaction, proposals, and business development activitiesKey ResponsibilitiesProject ExecutionPrepare complex engineering deliverables for multiple or large-scale projectsConduct research to develop equipment and material recommendationsManage data and perform complex engineering calculationsDevelop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements across multiple disciplinesLead larger production teams, coordinate multi-discipline activities, and serve as the responsible charge for assigned projectsEstablish and manage project work plansClient InterfaceIdentify and respond to key client interests and drivers on moderately complex to large projectsCommunicate client concerns to the project team and help develop effective solutionsSupport business development and proposal pursuitsTechnical LeadershipLead large multi-discipline teams to deliver project goals on time and within budgetProvide technical leadership for complex substation projectsDrive innovative solutions to achieve project and client objectivesManagementReview and mentor lower-level engineering work and assignmentsResponsible for hiring decisions, performance management, and compensation administration for direct reportsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Structural Engineering background may be considered)Minimum of 11 years of related work experienceExperience working on large IOU projects for an engineering consulting firmExperience leading multidisciplinary project teamsProficiency in both Substation Physical Design and Protection & Control (P&C)Project lead experience, including exposure to schedule and budget managementPreferred QualificationsP.E. License (strongly preferred)Experience managing EPC or design services substation and switchyard projects for investor-owned utilities in the United StatesStrong understanding of overall project lifecycle, layout design and optimization, relay protection & control, civil/structural design, and technical knowledge of major substation equipmentExcellent communication skills and genuine interest in building and maintaining client relationshipsAdvanced knowledge of engineering design principles, applicable design guides, and industry standards#J-18808-Ljbffr
