Summary Statement

Department of Technology and Information Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Senior Project Leader will provide leadership in the upgrade, development, implementation and post-implementation support of ERP software.

Principal responsibilities include the supervision and mentoring of a team of developers for a SaaS time and attendance system; providing leadership in the planning, requirements, design, construction, system integration and documentation; and management of Quality Assurance policies and procedures of multiple, complex ERP systems.

Responsible for mapping functional and technical requirements to ERP delivered functionality for the purpose of maintaining a minimum amount of software customization. Candidate will participate in multiple reengineering initiatives to ensure best business practices are being met. Must have a working knowledge of project methodologies and the ability to construct and monitor ERP project plans.

The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be able to work as a supervisor as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Selective Requirement

Selective Requirements must be met in addition to the job requirements. Applicants who do not possess the selective requirement will not be qualified.

  • Possess a minimum of two years'' recent experience implementing, supporting, or administering enterprise applications such as Time & Attendance, Payroll, Human Resources, Financial, or other ERP solutions.
  • Possess a minimum of two years'' recent experience leading enterprise technology projects involving software implementation, upgrades, vendor-managed solutions, or major system enhancements.
  • Possess a minimum of two years'' experience establishing, implementing, or overseeing technical Quality Assurance standards, testing methodologies, and system development policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualification

Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualification will still be eligible to compete for this position if job requirements are met.

  • Possess experience supporting enterprise SaaS Time & Attendance, Payroll, HR, Financial, or other ERP applications.
  • Possess experience participating in SaaS implementation or cloud migration projects.
  • Possession of a Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS for ERP Senior Project Leader

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  • Possess a minimum of two years'' experience supervising technical staff or serving as the technical lead responsible for assigning, coordinating, and reviewing the work of others.
  • Possess a minimum of two years'' experience coordinating work among technical staff, business stakeholders, vendors, and executive leadership.
  • Possess experience analyzing technical and business issues, evaluating risks, and recommending solutions.
  • Possess experience preparing executive-level communications, project status reports, and technical documentation.

Conditions of Hire

Criminal background check: A satisfactory fingerprint based criminal background check administered by the Delaware State Police is required as a Condition of Hire.
