Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Water Treatment Construction Project Manager to join their team in beautiful Arroyo Grande, California. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing complex water and wastewater treatment facility projects-from early design coordination through construction and commissioning.
The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background, proven experience in water infrastructure delivery, and the ability to manage multi-million‐dollar EPC and design-build projects with confidence and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead planning, design coordination, construction oversight, and delivery of water and wastewater treatment plant projects.
  • Manage contract execution, budgets, schedules, subcontracts, and field activities.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to bridge technical design and construction execution.
  • Ensure project compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality expectations.
  • Coordinate with owners, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to project personnel and field teams.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Water Treatment Construction Project Manager.
  • Technical or construction-related education background (e.g., engineering, construction management, or related fields).
  • Hands-on experience on both the design and construction sides of water treatment plant development.
  • Proven track record managing multi‐million‐dollar EPC/design-build water/wastewater projects.
  • Strong understanding of water/wastewater treatment processes, civil/mechanical systems, and project delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‐solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or PMP certification.
  • Experience working in California's regulatory environment.
  • Background in advanced treatment technologies or large municipal projects.
