Duration: 5 Months
Responsibilities:
- Exercise judgment and discretion in managing all aspects of assigned projects.
- Provide a single point of contact for projects, ensuring objectives are achievable.
- Guide engineering teams in producing complex risk and alternative analyses, studies, and conceptual designs.
- Oversee and administer EPC contracts in accordance with the ESC Work Oversight Committee.
- Negotiate third-party contracts, supporting other departments as appropriate.
- Develop and champion company-wide best practices.
- Make presentations to company officers as needed.
- Arbitrate and resolve conflicts within the project.
- Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced project managers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent in education and experience.
- 8 years of experience in project management, project controls, engineering, and/or construction if within the company; 9 years if outside hire.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and maintenance required for new entrants.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of land acquisition, CPUC and environmental permitting, and EPC contracting procedures.
- Superior ability to interface with and across supporting organizations and conduct formal presentations to officers.
