Essential Responsibilities:  This description of job responsibilities is intended to reflect the major responsibilities and duties of the job, but is not intended to describe minor duties or other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

  • Manage and communicate a clear vision of the SGHS projects objectives, understand and communicate the definition of completion criteria, and motivates assigned project team members.
  • Collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams, subject matter experts (SMEs), and a variety of disciplines and stakeholders including executives, leadership, internal operations departments, clinical teams, vendors, consultants, and external constituents.
  • Assist in strategic planning and develops work plans to support the expansion of existing programs and implementation of new services.
  • Coordinate the activities of project personnel, set priorities, responsibilities, and monitor the performance of project team members.
  • Organize the activities into manageable work packages for SGHS and team members and determines resource coordination for project deployments.
  • Ensure that appropriate timing, resources, and sequencing of the work efforts are aligned to produce the desired result within a given period of time.
  • Support SGHS leaders in scheduling and prioritizing workload given resource constraints, managing relationships to accomplish project activities, and identify potential scope changes.
  • Manage SGHS deployment project schedules to minimize intra-project resource conflict and facility activity conflicts and maintain assertiveness to achieve goals as quickly as possible.
  • Monitor project activities and reporting on status utilizing SGHS standard reporting processes, tools, and templates.
  • Coach those working on activities to clarify assignments and deliverables, documenting, and analyzing lessons learned and sharing with others, and identifying and managing risks and issues.
  • Review quality of work and manages integration of team members’ work.
  • Validate the completion of project documentation and relevant knowledge bases.
  • Cultivate local and state partnerships and schedules and facilitate meetings related to SGHS projects and initiatives.
  • Role model for the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

This position would require some travel to support major project events and team requirements throughout the year. 

Education

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, science, information technology, change or project management or related field required. Advanced degree in related field preferred.

Experience

  • Five years of experience in a healthcare or public health setting that includes experience with planning and implementing complex projects and programs; data collections and analysis and developing work plans and implementing community health programs with proven results.
  • Healthcare change management preferred.
  • Previous experience and/or demonstrated ability to manage projects and mentor teams successfully.
  • Experience working in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) or Project Management Professional Certificate (PMP) required
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification(s) preferred.
