Senior Project Manager – Multifamily Construction

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful planning, execution, and delivery of multifamily construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing large-scale residential developments and the leadership skills to oversee project teams, subcontractors, and client relationships from preconstruction through final completion. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls.
• Oversee project teams including Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project Engineers.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, contract negotiations, and performance.
• Monitor project progress and implement solutions to maintain schedule and budget targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
• Prepare and present project updates, financial reports, and risk assessments to leadership and stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining strong client relationships.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of construction management experience, with significant experience in multifamily residential projects.
• Proven experience managing projects valued at $30M+ (or similar scale).
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and cost control.
• Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, or MS Project).
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with ground-up multifamily developments.
• Familiarity with wood-frame, podium, or mixed-use multifamily construction.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, or LEED are a plus.
