Job Description

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for:

• Leading and overseeing all phases of construction projects from inception through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Developing and managing project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure efficient allocation and utilization.
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.
• Conducting regular site visits to assess project progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety standards.
• Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Preparing and presenting regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and building codes.
• Negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Mentoring and providing guidance to junior project managers and construction staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Facilitating effective communication among project teams, clients, and other relevant parties to ensure alignment and address any concerns.
• Monitoring and enforcing quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship and materials.
• Implementing and maintaining project documentation, including plans, contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
• Coordinating with property management teams to ensure smooth transition from construction to occupancy.
• Leading project closeout activities, including client/owner walk throughs.

The Successful Applicant

The Senior Project Manager will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations specific to vertical build projects.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring and developing project teams.
• Minimum 10+ years of progressive construction project management experience, including large-scale vertical build projects.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Experience managing project teams, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of preconstruction activities, including estimating, scheduling, value engineering, and constructability reviews.
• Ability to develop and maintain detailed project schedules, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Experience overseeing procurement processes, subcontractor buyout, and vendor management.
• Skilled at reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.
• Demonstrated ability to lead project meetings and provide clear reporting to executive leadership and clients.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations affecting commercial construction projects.
• Experience managing change orders, claims resolution, and project documentation.
• Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices across projects.
• Strong negotiation skills with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Experience with quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) programs and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships that drive repeat business and referrals.
• Experience preparing and presenting project status reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project risks and proactively resolve complex construction challenges.
• Familiarity with sustainable building practices, LEED certification requirements, and energy-efficient construction methods is preferred.
• Experience in commercial, healthcare, industrial, multifamily, education, or mixed-use construction projects preferred.
• Ability to lead projects through all phases, from preconstruction and design coordination through closeout and warranty.

• Experience working in fast-paced environments with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
• OSHA 30-Hour certification or equivalent safety training preferred.
