Job Description

The Senior Project Manager - Commercial Construction will oversee and manage all aspects of commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role is based in Boston and focuses on delivering successful outcomes for clients in the business services industry.

Client Details

  • Lead construction projects from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise to keep work on track.
  • Oversee project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage project resources, including personnel and materials, efficiently and effectively.
  • Communicate progress and updates to clients and senior management.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project outcomes.

Description

  • Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from planning to completion.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring adherence to timelines and financial plans.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations at all project sites.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues promptly.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.
  • Lead project teams and foster effective communication among all parties involved.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project delivery.

Profile

A successful Senior Project Manager should have:

  • Manage 2-3 construction projects concurrently with values ranging from $1M to $15M.
  • Lead projects through the full lifecycle, from preconstruction handoff through closeout.
  • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, procurement activities, and subcontractor performance.
  • Maintain communication with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor project financials and ensure projects remain on budget and on schedule.
  • Resolve project challenges proactively while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Oversee both ground-up construction and renovation projects across commercial markets.
  • Utilize Procore and Microsoft Office to manage project documentation, reporting, and communication.
  • Travel to project sites throughout New Hampshire, Southern Maine, and Northern Massachusetts as required.
