The Senior Project Manager selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in water infrastructure repair that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for a Senior Engineer that has 5+ years of experience in water utility engineering and project management to work on-site and full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) in the Costa Mesa area.
Projects may include:
- Water Reservoir Repairs – Drain, Service, and Disinfection
- Pump Station Upgrade and Repair
- Street Paving over Pipeline Installation
As a Senior Project Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and actively manage complex construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring quality, compliance, and successful delivery
- Develop, review, and manage project schedules and budgets, tracking costs, analyzing savings opportunities, and supporting value engineering efforts
- Review and approve key financial and project documents including change orders, invoices, and payment applications
- Oversee the full contracting process—preparing and administering contracts, developing RFPs/RFBs, leading pre-bid meetings, and evaluating proposals to support award recommendations
- Coordinate and monitor construction contracts, including submittals, RFIs, contract amendments, and change orders
- Partner with engineering consultants and inspection teams to ensure projects meet technical specifications and regulatory requirements
- Review and approve construction inspection reports, ensuring work is completed to standards
- Manage the Pipeline Integrity Program
