POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Senior Project Manager Industrial Manufacturing Construction Projects, your roles and responsibilities will include:

" Provide overall direction and leadership for significantly complex construction projects and/or multiple projects.
" Own project outcomes, including project operations, profitability, administration, safety, quality, budget, and schedule.
" Lead preconstruction activities including quantity takeoffs, estimating, trade coordination, scope development, bid packages, and schedule development.
" Lead buyout activities, including pricing and scope verification, bidder selection, gap analysis, and subcontract issuance.
" Manage submittal schedules and coordinate shop drawings and samples with architects and engineers.
" Coordinate subcontractors, owners, field teams, design teams, vendors, logistics, and other project stakeholders.
" Manage change requests, subcontractor pricing, owner/architect approvals, and change orders.
" Lead monthly project reviews, progress meetings, and OAC meetings.
" Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, procurement logs, and mitigation plans.
" Monitor project costs, budgets, profitability, and monthly cost and margin forecasts.
" Identify and actively manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
" Lead project-specific safety plans and promote an injury-free work environment.
" Manage project closeout activities, including punch lists, financials, subcontracts, warranties, and other closeout requirements.
" Develop and manage project teams and collaborate with senior management, clients, marketing, legal, logistics, and other internal resources.
" Negotiate project issues, change orders, contingency expenditures, and fee enhancements.
" Support business development and client relationship-building activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Senior Project Manager who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Senior Project Manager would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:

" 10+ years of construction management experience.
" Significant experience managing complex construction projects and/or multiple projects.
" Industrial manufacturing construction project experience.
" Strong preconstruction experience from conceptual design through GMP development.
" Experience with estimating, productivity analysis, quantity takeoffs, bid analysis, and subcontractor buyout.
" Strong project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and profitability management experience.
" Experience managing change orders, subcontractors, vendors, owners, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
" Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and project processes.
" Experience preparing project budgets, GMPs, hard bids, and range estimates.
" Experience with CMiC or similar project management/accounting software.
" Proficiency with construction technology, scheduling software, and BIM.
" Working knowledge of Lean construction principles and processes.
" Advanced verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
" Ability to develop and manage project teams and build strong internal and external relationships.
" Ability to manage project risks and resolve complex project issues.
" Bachelor s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
" Valid and unrestricted driver's license.
" Willingness to travel, work at project sites, relocate when required, and work non-traditional hours based on project needs.
