Salary: $75,000 - $150,000 per year

An experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex tenting and temporary-structure projects from initial site survey through installation and strike. This is a highly technical, field-oriented position supporting repeat annual events, large-scale productions, and high-visibility client projects.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in construction project management, event production, staging/rigging, scaffolding, modular installations, temporary structures, or a related technical field. You will serve as the technical authority for clients and internal teams, developing solutions that balance customer objectives with safety, buildability, operational requirements, and profitability.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Lead client discovery meetings and detailed site surveys.
• Evaluate access, egress, grade, ground conditions, utilities, equipment routes, and venue requirements.
• Recommend appropriate tenting, temporary structures, flooring, anchoring/ballast, and guest-flow solutions.
• Produce or coordinate technical layouts and drawings using CAD, Vectorworks, AutoCAD, or equivalent tools.
• Coordinate engineering, permitting, and compliance documentation as required.
• Develop project plans covering labor, equipment, transportation, staging, sequencing, and timelines.
• Coordinate with venues, vendors, and production partners including AV, staging, flooring, HVAC, temporary power, fencing, and utilities.
• Provide field leadership during installations and strikes, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and effective problem-solving.
• Lead crews on site without direct supervisory responsibility.
• Manage security badging and access requirements for restricted sites.
• Identify opportunities to improve repeat-event execution and expand project scope through appropriate upselling and cross-selling.
• Maintain accurate project files, change documentation, and job costing.
• Lead post-event debriefs and incorporate lessons learned into future project plans.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in temporary structures, event production, construction project management, staging/rigging, scaffolding, modular installation, exhibits, or a related field.
• Strong project planning, logistics, scheduling, and vendor-management skills.
• Ability to interpret or develop technical layouts and drawings.
• Experience coordinating engineering, permitting, and compliance requirements.
• Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to make confident, technically sound decisions in fast-paced environments.
• Comfortable leading crews and managing complex field operations.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Ability to occasionally lift/carry up to 60 lbs. and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• OSHA 10/30 training and familiarity with forklifts, MEWPs, or lifts preferred.
• Experience with restricted-access sites and security badging is a plus.
