About the Opportunity:
ZipStaff is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead critical Safety & Security digital technology initiatives for a major national transportation organization in Washington, DC.
In this role, you will take ownership of high-stakes, in-flight safety projects following a leadership transition and drive implementation, optimization, and operational management of the Everbridge Business Continuity & Incident Center (BCIC) platform. You will work closely with enterprise stakeholders and technology teams to ensure continuity, system integration, and strong incident-management response across critical infrastructure.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage end-to-end execution of ongoing digital technology projects focused on organizational safety, emergency management, and business continuity.
- Lead operational administration, integration, and platform strategy for the Everbridge BCIC suite.
- Transition, organize, and drive existing Safety & Security initiatives previously managed by senior leadership to maintain momentum and complete scope.
- Collaborate with Digital Technology teams, vendors, and business leaders to align technology solutions with incident-response protocols.
- Track project performance, manage risks, establish mitigation plans, and deliver executive-level status reporting on milestones and platform adoption.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on Everbridge tools and advise stakeholders on best practices for critical event management and mass notifications.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of dedicated project management experience leading enterprise IT or digital technology initiatives.
- Hands-on experience and deep exposure to the Everbridge platform, specifically the Business Continuity & Incident Center (BCIC) product line.
- Proven track record managing projects in Safety & Security, emergency mass notification, or business continuity domains.
- Demonstrated ability to step into ongoing, complex projects and quickly establish structure, governance, and leadership.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and vendor coordination skills in large-scale, government, or transportation environments.
- Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
- Business continuity credential such as CBCP.
- Prior transportation, rail, public-sector, or critical-infrastructure program experience.
