Senior Project Manager (Construction)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex construction projects. This role is responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and stakeholder communication from pre-construction through closeout.

The ideal candidate is a proven construction project leader with strong technical expertise, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders including owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Manage full lifecycle of construction projects from initiation to closeout

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and execution strategies

  • Coordinate design, procurement, and construction activities

  • Ensure alignment of scope, timeline, and deliverables

  • Track milestones and adjust plans to maintain project performance

Schedule, Budget & Cost Control

  • Develop and maintain project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project

  • Manage project budgets and monitor cost performance

  • Track expenditures, forecasts, and financial risks

  • Identify cost overruns and implement corrective actions

  • Support change order management and approval processes

Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders

  • Communicate project updates, risks, and progress reports

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors

  • Manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction

  • Lead project meetings and executive reporting sessions

Construction Coordination & Field Oversight

  • Oversee daily construction activities in collaboration with Superintendents

  • Ensure adherence to project plans, drawings, and specifications

  • Resolve field issues and remove operational roadblocks

  • Coordinate subcontractors and ensure productivity on-site

  • Support logistics, procurement, and material flow

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety standards and OSHA compliance across project sites

  • Conduct regular site visits and safety audits

  • Ensure compliance with building codes and permit requirements

  • Promote a strong safety culture among all project participants

  • Report and address incidents or risks promptly

Quality Control & Project Closeout

  • Ensure work meets required quality standards and specifications

  • Oversee inspections, testing, and quality assurance processes

  • Manage punch lists and project completion documentation

  • Coordinate final turnover and client handover

  • Ensure lessons learned are documented for future projects

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead project teams including engineers, coordinators, and field staff

  • Support development of junior project managers and assistants

  • Facilitate collaboration across departments and disciplines

  • Drive accountability and performance across project teams

  • Participate in resource planning and allocation

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field

  • 5+ years of construction project management experience

  • Proven experience managing commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and cost control

  • Experience with project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, etc.)

  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Must currently reside in one of the approved locations listed above

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

  • Experience managing large-scale or multi-site construction projects

  • PMP, CCM, or similar certification

  • Experience in healthcare, industrial, or commercial construction sectors

  • Familiarity with design-build or EPC project delivery models

  • Strong background in contract administration and subcontractor management

  • LEED or sustainability project experience

  • Experience working with general contractors or developers
