With strong leadership, long-term stability, and a pipeline of exciting new opportunities, this is an ideal environment for someone looking to advance their career and contribute to a company that is shaping the future of Ohio's built environment.Job DescriptionThe Senior Project Manager will be responsible for:Leading and overseeing all phases of construction projects from inception through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.Developing and managing project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure efficient allocation and utilization.Collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.Conducting regular site visits to assess project progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety standards.Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.Preparing and presenting regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and building codes.Negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms.Mentoring and providing guidance to junior project managers and construction staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.Facilitating effective communication among project teams, clients, and other relevant parties to ensure alignment and address any concerns.Monitoring and enforcing quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship and materials.Implementing and maintaining project documentation, including plans, contracts, change orders, and progress reports.Coordinating with property management teams to ensure smooth transition from construction to occupancy.Leading project closeout activities, including client/owner walk throughs.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe Senior Project Manager will have:10+ years of experience managing large-scale commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.Proven experience leading projects ranging from $20M-$100M+ in value.Strong understanding of GMP, lump sum, negotiated, and design-build delivery methods.Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships that lead to repeat business opportunities.Experience overseeing preconstruction efforts including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and value engineering.Ability to effectively manage and mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers.Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams across multiple concurrent projects.Strong understanding of procurement strategies, subcontractor buyout, and material lead time management.Experience preparing and presenting project updates to executive leadership, owners, and stakeholders.Extensive knowledge of risk management strategies and mitigation planning throughout the project lifecycle.Ability to analyze project performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary.Expertise in change order management, claims avoidance, and contract administration.Strong understanding of MEP systems coordination and complex building infrastructure.Experience collaborating with preconstruction, estimating, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.Experience managing owner expectations and navigating challenging project situations with professionalism and urgency.Knowledge of lean construction principles and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.Experience managing project cash flow, forecasting, billings, and financial reporting.Ability to lead project planning sessions and establish clear goals, milestones, and accountability measures.Demonstrated success delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.Experience working with healthcare, higher education, multifamily, commercial, or mission-critical projects preferred.Thorough understanding of quality assurance and quality control programs.Ability to cultivate long-term relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and industry partners.Strong business acumen with the ability to contribute to company growth and strategic initiatives.Experience leading jobsite and executive-level meetings with confidence and professionalism.Proven ability to resolve conflicts and drive project teams toward successful outcomes in fast-paced environments.What's on OfferThe Senior Project Manager will be offered:A competitive base salary between $130,000-$150,000 (depending on experience)Competitive bonus structure year end bonus structure (typically between $15,000-$20,000 in the first year)Medical insurance including dental and visionGenerous 401K structureCar allowance starting at $500 a monthGas card that can be used for both work related commute and personal useCompany profit sharingRobust career advancement opportunityAbility to mentor junior staff4 weeks vacationCompany wide eventsCompany laptop provided$90 cell phone allowance a monthFree gym membershipsAdditional company benefitsJob SummarySectorConstructionSub SectorProject ManagerIndustryPropertyWhereColumbusContract TypePermanentConsultant NameGeffen Peterson-SandJob ReferenceJN-072026-7066122
