Senior Project ManagerThe Senior Project Manager will lead the planning, execution and delivery of capital projects across a complex industrial facility. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical judgement, contractor management expertise and a commitment to quality, safety and operational excellence.Manage multiple capital projects ranging from facility upgrades through to major expansion initiatives.Develop project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, specifications and risk assessments.Lead engineering, procurement and construction activities through project execution and commissioning.Manage external contractors, consultants and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.Establish and oversee quality assurance and quality control processes throughout project delivery.Coordinate permitting and regulatory requirements with applicable authorities.Deliver detailed project reporting, documentation and handover packages to operations and maintenance teams.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state, or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans, and all other qualified applicants.For the Senior Project Manager we are seeking:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.Proven experience managing capital projects within chemical processing, petrochemical, refining, bulk liquids storage, terminal operations, industrial manufacturing or similar heavy industrial environments.Demonstrated success delivering projects ranging from approximately $500K to $50M+.Strong understanding of engineering design, construction management, procurement and contractor oversight.Experience driving quality assurance, documentation control and project governance.Knowledge of regulatory, safety and permitting requirements within industrial facilities.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel and project reporting tools.Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.Self-starter mentality with strong attention to detail, initiative and a hands-on approach to project execution.What's on offer:Base salary of $150,000 - $155,000.Opportunity to join a stable and well-established organization with exceptional employee tenure and strong leadership.Exposure to high-profile capital investment, expansion and infrastructure projects.Collaborative and supportive management team focused on coaching and employee development.Long-term career progression within a growing engineering and operations environment.Comprehensive benefits package.Job summary:Sector: Engineering & ManufacturingSub Sector: Project / Program ManagementIndustry: Industrial / ManufacturingWhere: HoustonContract Type: PermanentConsultant name: Gail IrelandJob Reference: JN-072026-7072603
