Senior Project Manager - HVAC

Position Overview

As a Senior Project Manager - HVAC youll provide senior-level leadership for complex commercial HVAC plumbing and controls projects overseeing multiple project managers superintendents and field teams to deliver exceptional quality safety profitability and client satisfaction. Partner closely with operations leadership to align on company goals proactively identify risksopportunities drive budget adherence and foster long-term relationships with clients subcontractors and stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of project managers superintendents and field personnel to execute projects on time within budget and to the highest qualitysafety standards.

Review bid documents drawings and scopes early to identify potential risks opportunities omissions and value engineering possibilities develop workable solutions to prevent issues.

Collaborate with preconstruction estimating and operations teams to create realistic schedules budgets and project plans that meet milestones and financial targets.

Track project budgets costs labor productivity change orders and forecasts identify variances pitfalls or profit-enhancing opportunities and implement corrective actions.

Promote open communication among project teams clients architects engineers subcontractors and internal departments to resolve conflicts and ensure alignment.

Organize and lead coordination meetings site walks and progress reviews maintain detailed documentation of scope changes execution decisions costs and client communications.

Ensure strict adherence to contract documents specifications company policies safety requirements quality expectations and ethical standards.

Champion quality assurance conduct job-site reviews ensure installations meetexceed industry standards prevent call-backswarranty issues and partner with quality teams on processesinspections.

Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients architects engineers general contractors subcontractors and vendors to support future opportunities and repeat business.

Recruit train mentor and develop high-caliber team members track performance delegate appropriately nominate for promotionsincentives and participate in hiring as needed.

Enforce safety compliance across teams assure PPE usage coordinate with safety officers for inspectionsvisits and uphold companyproject safety protocols at all times.

Provide leadership vision for project planning coordination sequencing labor utilization and continuous improvement communicate updates and issues to executive leadership.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Yes - Direct supervision and leadership of project managers superintendents foremen and support staff across assigned projectsportfolio responsible for performance evaluations trainingmentoring promotionsincentives conflict resolution and team development to ensure high performance safety adherence and project success.

RequirementsQualifications

Experience 8-12 years of progressive project management experience in commercial HVACmechanical construction or related building services including 4 years in seniorlead PM roles managing teams and multi-million-dollar projects.

Education Bachelors degree in Construction Management Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred equivalent experience with strong technical HVAC knowledge considered.

Certifications PMP LEED OSHA 30-hour or relevant trade certifications a plus valid drivers license and clean driving record required.

Physical Demands Primarily office-based with frequent job-site visits ability to walk active construction sites climb laddersstairs lift light materials plans laptop and travel regionallynationally as needed standard office mobility for computer work and meetings.
