Contract Role | Senior Project Manager (IT) in Chattanooga TN Duration: 15 months contract Pay Range: $70 -99/hour on w2 Duration: Job Description: The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, direction, management, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects according to specifications and within budget from initiation through completion. The Senior Project Manager leads Joint Project Teams (JPTs) and applies professional principles, practices, and techniques to lead project teams while controlling project schedule, cost, and performance risk to ensure projects are completed within established constraints such as time, budget, people, quality, and materials, while maintaining a high level of quality. This role is generally assigned large, multifaceted projects. The Senior Project Manager serves as the single point of contact for assigned projects and assumes the leadership role in safely managing all aspects of project execution. Budget Responsibility: Demonstrated capability to manage large project budgets exceeding *** million, or a portfolio of projects with an aggregate total exceeding *** million across all active assigned projects. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Technical Field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and related work experience required. Master’s degree preferred but not required. Certification / License: Project Management Institute (PMI) certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) required within one year of appointment or assumption of the Senior Project Manager position (see SPP-34.018 for exception/extension of the one-year timeframe). Demonstrated commitment to professional excellence through certifications or licensure in a related professional field is preferred but not required (e.g., PE, CPA, CFP, etc.).
