KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Sr. Project Manager in Kansas City.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee complex electrical construction projects with budgets exceeding $10M. This individual will manage projects through all phases of execution, ensuring alignment with safety standards, quality expectations, financial objectives, and delivery timelines. The role also provides leadership and guidance to project teams while promoting operational excellence and accountability.
Primary Responsibilities
* Lead electrical construction projects from planning and preconstruction through final completion.
* Manage project schedules, cost controls, manpower planning, and overall execution strategy.
* Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure project success.
* Oversee project documentation including RFIs, submittals, procurement activities, change management, and compliance requirements.
* Conduct regular site visits to evaluate construction progress, safety practices, and workmanship quality.
* Mentor and support project managers, engineers, coordinators, and field personnel.
* Track project financials, forecasting, reporting, and budget performance.
* Identify project risks and develop effective mitigation and resolution plans.
* Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and executive-level project discussions.
* Lead multiple project teams concurrently while maintaining operational efficiency.
* Foster strong communication, collaboration, and accountability across teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent industry experience may also be considered.
* Experience managing large-scale commercial or industrial electrical construction projects.
* Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, project controls, and contract administration.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Bluebeam, and similar construction management software.
* Experience with ERP or project accounting systems such as Vista or Spectrum is a plus.
* Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions in fast-paced environments.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
* Willingness to travel as needed for project support (approximately 40-50%).
