Senior Project Manager

A growing construction company is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to take full ownership of commercial HVAC projects from startup through completion.

This role requires someone with strong technical HVAC and mechanical knowledge who understands both the project management and field sides of the business. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for keeping projects on schedule and within budget while coordinating procurement, field operations, clients, and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record successfully managing commercial HVAC projects and can read plans, understand equipment and mechanical systems, anticipate field challenges, and keep projects moving through completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of commercial HVAC projects from startup through completion

• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and overall execution

• Coordinate procurement of equipment and materials based on project requirements and timelines

• Oversee field coordination and ensure work progresses according to project plans

• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the project

• Manage subcontractor coordination and performance

• Review plans and project requirements to identify technical and operational needs

• Coordinate between clients, subcontractors, field teams, vendors, and internal departments

• Identify project risks and field issues and drive solutions to keep projects moving

• Track project progress, costs, schedules, and outstanding items through completion

• Maintain strong communication and accountability across all parties involved in each project

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC, mechanical construction, or related project management experience

• Proven track record successfully managing commercial projects

• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems

• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications

• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, systems, and field conditions

• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and procurement

• Experience coordinating field operations and subcontractors

• Strong client communication and relationship management skills

• Excellent organization, problem solving, and project ownership skills

• Ability to manage multiple moving parts and keep projects on track from startup through completion
