Job DetailsPosition Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, financial performance, and successful delivery of one or more construction projects. This individual serves as a key client-facing leader, overseeing project teams and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership throughout all phases of construction, from preconstruction planning through project closeout.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, forecasting, cost controls, and contract administration.
- Lead client interactions and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Oversee project teams including Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field leadership.
- Conduct project reviews and ensure financial targets and operational objectives are achieved.
- Review and negotiate subcontractor buyouts, change orders, and procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with preconstruction teams during estimating, value engineering, and project planning efforts.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while implementing effective problem-solving strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company standards, and quality control requirements.
- Support business development efforts by participating in client presentations, relationship-building activities, and strategic pursuits.
- Mentor team members and promote professional growth throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- 8+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
- Proven experience managing projects valued at $20M+.
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and risk management.
- Experience leading complex projects in sectors such as commercial, industrial, healthcare, hospitality, multifamily, manufacturing, or institutional construction.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Strong proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel to project sites as required throughout New Hampshire and the surrounding region.
