Senior Project Managers at Grunau are differentiated by their ability to lead complex work, sell and deliver projects, and develop the next generation of leaders within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Estimating and Preconstruction Leadership Lead estimating efforts across Pipefitting and Sheet Metal Develop and execute design-build estimates, partnering with internal teams and clients Mentor Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers in change order pricing and cost control Proactively support company-wide estimating and pursuit efforts • Labor Planning and Field Leadership Forecast and manage labor hours to support project financial goals Coordinate manpower planning and scheduling Build strong collaborative relationships with the Foremen and field crews Communicate clearly to align expectations between office and field operations • Safety Leadership Champion jobsite safety from project kickoff through closeout Perform safety audits and proactively address potential risks Foster a culture where safety is planned, communicated, and executes at every level • Client Development and Sales Own and manage client owner and general contractor relationships Actively pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships Lead proposal development and participate in client presentations Serve as trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle

Technical and Design

Apply comprehensive mechanical system knowledge across diverse project types Leverage building code and standards experience to deliver value-driven solutions Utilize mechanical design experience to support complex design-build projects

Operational Excellence and Leadership

Deliver projects that meet or exceed planned gross margins Mentor and develop Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers Follow and continuously improve Grunaus Project Management processes Lead by example through continuous improvement, accountability, and professionalism

Required Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management or Equivalent Experience Required Demonstrated Experience 10 years of progressive project management experience in mechanical contracting Proven experience in piping and sheet metal systems Mechanical design experience strongly preferred Demonstrated success building and maintaining long-term client relationships Deep understanding of mechanical construction practices, processes, and standards Experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams Strong estimating background across mechanical trades Demonstrable success developing and maintaining customer relationships Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, adaptable to new software platforms LEED accreditation a plus
