Location: Mechanicsville, VA (Hybrid)

Duration: 9+ Months

Seeking for a Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver complex IT projects with multiple teams and work streams. The role involves managing projects through all phases: PreSelect, Initiation, Planning, Execution and Control, and Closeout.

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical project management with development staff and business groups.
• Coordinate and communicate with management and staff for work tasks and resourcing.
• Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and contractors for project execution.
• Maintain project budget, plans, tasks, schedules, risks, and status.
• Ensure documentation of requirements and facilitate design workshops.
• Define test objectives and design test plans for projects.
• Manage project milestones and deliverables for on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Support system and application training efforts.

Qualifications Required:

• Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.
• Minimum of 15 years' experience managing large projects.
• 5 years' experience with software development life cycle models and Agile/Waterfall project management.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Project Server).
• Ability to interact effectively with customers and project team members.
• Experience in Microsoft Project software.
• Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies.
• Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred:

• Agile Scrum Master certification.
