We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for our New York City office location to support New York Metro projects. The Senior Project Manager provides support to facilitate planning and coordination of construction activities to ensure that all project objectives are accomplished, and ensures project profitability targets are achieved. We are looking for someone who has knowledge of the New York construction market and has a current network.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with all partners on a project
Manage all costs to ensure profitability
Create and maintain project schedules
Lead project meetings with all stakeholders connected to a project: owner, owner representatives, vendors, subcontractors, and others
Partner closely with Field Operations team members and internal team members assigned to projects
Review subcontractor and vendor invoices throughout the lifecycle of the project and approve for payment or negotiate appropriate changes
Oversee change orders and RFIs, prepare as needed
Keep consistent lines of communication open with clients and proactively share project progress and budget matters
Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other problems as needed
Ensure punch list completion
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must have 10+ years of Construction Project Management experience
Must have experience leading Retail, Restaurant, or Grocery projects; experience with all three is preferred.
Must have experience managing projects with high intensity and short-term duration of 12-16 weeks
Experience being the sole lead on projects of $2-5 million dollars
Buyout capability and experience with strong experience with leveling trades
Creating and processing RFI's using Procore or similar technology
Scheduling proficiency
Document management and financial accountability
Presentation skills and ability to lead meetings
Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
OSHA-30 preferred
College degree in Construction, Engineering, or Architecture preferred
Occasional travel as required
Technical Skills
Must have experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Must have a background with Procore or experience with a similar software
Timberline/Sage experience a plus.
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in New York City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Schimenti’s total compensation package for employees. Pay starts at $160,000 base salary per year depending on experience. In addition, Schimenti provides a variety of comprehensive benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, enrollment in our ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan), a retirement savings plan, several paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
