Senior Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a large-scale healthcare initiative. You will ensure that complex program deliverables are met on time, within scope, and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. This is a high-visibility engagement requiring exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to operate effectively within regulated environments. This is a hybrid role in the greater Sacramento region. Core duties and responsibilities include:

• Lead large, multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver complex strategic initiatives
• Translate business goals and evolving stakeholder needs into clear project scope and deliverables
• Develop and manage integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
• Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies
• Provide leadership and direction across multiple teams and project workstreams
• Facilitate executive-level stakeholder engagement and maintain clear communication across all levels
• Manage competing priorities, project tradeoffs, and evolving project requirements
• Coordinate vendor relationships, procurement activities, and external partnerships when applicable
• Ensure project documentation, reporting, and governance standards are maintained
• Mentor team members and help build a high-performing project environment

Required skills and qualifications:

• 8+ years of project management experience leading complex initiatives
• Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders
• Strong expertise in project planning, risk management, stakeholder communication, and delivery execution
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or traditional project management methodologies
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage projects in complex, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, Project Management, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• PMP (Project Management Professional (strongly preferred)
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) (preferred)
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or other Agile certifications (preferred)

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is from $130K to $180K, depending on experience.
