This role requires a flexible, experienced delivery leader who can successfully operate in a bimodal environment, supporting both Agile and traditional SDLC projects, as needed.
The Senior Project Manager / Scrum Master is responsible for managing and facilitating the planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and customer onboarding for cross functional, high profile projects and programs that support MIB’s strategic goals and objectives. This role must be able to partner closely with business stakeholders to ensure alignment between business objectives, technology solutions, and delivery execution. Experience in delivering technological initiatives within the life insurance is preferred.
This role represents the PMO and serves as a trusted partner across the organization.

- Demonstrated experience operating in hybrid and bimodal delivery environments, supporting both Agile and traditional SDLC projects
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and modern software development practices
- Strong working knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies, coach teams, and promote continuous improvement and increasing Agile maturity
- Experience leveraging delivery metrics and dashboards (e.g., burndown, velocity, throughput) to drive transparency and informed decision making
- Proven team builder with strong facilitation, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to influence without authority and build trust across cross functional teams and senior leadership
- Strong experience managing delivery risks, cross team dependencies, and mitigation strategies
- Experience managing project financials, including forecasting, budget tracking, and variance reporting
- Ability to support organizational change and stakeholder adoption through effective communication and delivery readiness
- Experience delivering solutions in regulated or compliance driven environments, with attention to governance and auditability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Tempo is highly desirable
Certifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional) – strongly desired
- Scrum Master certification (CSM or equivalent) – strongly desired
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Represent the PMO and serve as a trusted partner to the business and technology organizations
- Demonstrated ability to act as a strategic partner to the business, ensuring alignment between business strategy, product vision, and execution delivery.
- Collaborate with business line/product owners, team members and key stakeholders to support successful delivery
- Apply project management principles and Agile practices to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly and proactively to business and leadership stakeholders
- Facilitate project and Agile ceremonies to ensure transparency, alignment, and accountability
- Provide weekly and monthly project status reports to the PMO and organization
- Present project updates and represent the project team in company Town Halls and Steering Committee meetings
- Ensure project compliance with MIB policies, procedures, and governance standards
- Assist the PMO in maintaining and improving MIB project management and SDLC policies and procedures
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives, including enhancements to SDLC processes, templates, and tools

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in an information technology or related field
Experience
- 7–10 years of project/program management experience, successfully managing multiple concurrent projects from initiation through production rollout
- 5+ years of experience serving as a Senior Project Manager/Scrum Master in a software development environment
- 3+ years of consulting, preferred
- 5+ years of experience in the life insurance industry, preferred
