The Transportation Business Unit is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Bellevue, WA.

David Evans and Associates (DEA) is seeking a Senior Stream Design Engineer / Senior Project Manager to play a key role in delivering complex transportation projects across Washington State. This position will focus on fish passage and stream restoration design efforts in partnership with local agencies.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the stream design discipline lead and key personnel on pursuits, supporting RFQ/RFP development and project positioning efforts.
  • Collaborate with Design Managers, discipline leads, and Design-Build partners throughout pursuit and delivery phases.
  • Lead and contribute to the final design of fish passage and stream restoration projects following project award.
  • Ensure successful project delivery, including on-time, on-budget performance and high-quality deliverables that meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams across DEA, including Transportation, Water & Environment, and Geomatics, to support integrated project delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight to engineering staff and project teams.
  • Participate in or lead constructability reviews and value engineering efforts to optimize project outcomes.
  • Support resource planning efforts in coordination with regional and delivery leadership to align staffing with project demands.
  • Ensure adherence to DEA's project management standards, including budgeting, contracting, quality management, and financial performance tracking.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including leadership on complex infrastructure or water-related design projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington state (or ability to obtain).
  • Demonstrated experience with stream design, fish passage, or hydraulic/hydrologic systems.
  • Experience supporting or delivering Design-Build / Alternative Project Delivery projects.
  • Strong background in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate across business units.
