We're partnered with a family-owned Chicago General Contractor that's looking to add a Senior Project Manager to its growing team in the Loop.

\n

\n

With 50+ years in business, this GC has built a strong reputation throughout Chicago and continues to maintain a stable backlog of work across K-12, CPS, public-sector, commercial renovation, and other institutional projects, with project values reaching up to $40M.

\n

\n

One of the biggest draws to this opportunity is the level of project ownership. Rather than being one piece of a massive project team, Senior Project Managers are trusted to take the lead and manage their projects from start to finish — giving you greater visibility into the financials, client relationships, operations, and overall success of each job.

\n

\n

And while public-sector work is a major part of their portfolio, previous public-sector experience is NOT required. They're open to experienced Project Managers coming from other commercial construction backgrounds.

What You'll Be Doing:

\n

• \n
• Lead projects from preconstruction through final closeout
• \n
• Take ownership of budgets, schedules, contracts, and project financials
• \n
• Manage subcontractors, procurement, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• \n
• Partner closely with Superintendents to drive successful project execution
• \n
• Maintain relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and trade partners
• \n
• Mentor APMs and Project Engineers while helping develop the project team
• \n

What They're Looking For:

• \n
• Senior Project Manager or experienced Project Manager background with a General Contractor
• \n
• Strong commercial construction experience
• \n
• Experience independently managing projects from start to finish
• \n
• Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, contracts, and procurement
• \n
• Public-sector experience is a plus, but not required
• \n
• Someone who values autonomy, flexibility, and a close-knit company culture

• $130K–$150K base salary + bonus
