Senior Project Manager

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Senior Project Manager job in White Plains, NY. This CONTRACT job is available with one of our key customers in the automobile industry. In this role, you will lead Agile delivery teams, manage technology projects from planning through implementation, and help drive successful project execution across multiple business initiatives. To be successful in this position, you should have experience managing Agile software development projects, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders. Preference will be given to candidates with Scrum and PMP certifications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain project governance by managing project plans, schedules, budgets, change control, and key project documentation, including project charters, RACI matrices, RAID logs, and decision logs.
• Lead project execution by coordinating resources, assigning work, managing project scope and finances, tracking key metrics, and ensuring the successful delivery of project milestones and go-live activities.
• Monitor project risks, issues, and change requests by developing mitigation plans, maintaining RAID logs, and communicating project status, business impacts, and budget updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to coordinate project activities, manage implementations, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies for one or more development teams while coaching team members on Scrum principles, promoting self-organization, and driving continuous process improvement.
• Manage team capacity, resource allocation, sprint planning, and backlog activities using project management tools such as Planview PPM Pro, Azure DevOps, or Jira to support efficient project delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with eight plus years of project management experience, or a Master's degree with six plus years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience leading Agile software development projects using Scrum, Kanban, and traditional project management methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of project governance, risk management, budgeting, scheduling, and change control processes.
• Experience using project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Planview PPM Pro, Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
• Scrum (CSM or PSM) and PMP certifications are strongly preferred; SAFe or Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
