Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Superintendent to direct field operations for upcoming construction projects throughout the Chicagoland area. This full-time, on-site role is responsible for daily jobsite operations and for delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and thrives in a fast-paced environment working alongside project managers, design teams, ownership, subcontractors, and field staff throughout every stage of construction.

Top 3 Must-Have Requirements

1. Multifamily and/or Senior Housing Experience: Proven track record in ground-up new construction or major renovation work.

2. 5+ Years of Experience: Progressive field leadership experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a comparable role.

3. Procore & Computer Skills: Demonstrated proficiency with Procore and essential project management software (Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, etc.).

Core Responsibilities

• Field Operations: Lead, manage, and coordinate all daily jobsite operations, subcontractors, suppliers, deliveries, inspections, and field personnel.

• Scheduling & Look-Aheads: Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules and short-term look-ahead plans to address progress proactively.

• Quality & Safety: Ensure all work strictly complies with plans, specifications, building codes, and safety standards; enforce OSHA requirements to maintain an organized jobsite.

• Project Documentation: Use Procore daily to manage project documentation, daily reporting, photo tracking, schedules, RFIs, and field communications.

• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, trade partners, and ownership to resolve field issues and provide consistent updates.

• Budget Support: Assist with cost awareness, change-order management, and budget-related field decisions.

• Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support field staff while fostering a positive, solutions-oriented jobsite culture.

Key Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive field leadership experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial or residential builds.

• Demonstrated experience with Multifamily and/or Senior Living construction (ground-up new construction or renovation work).

• High proficiency with Procore along with standard computer software (Microsoft Project, Excel, etc.).

• Strong understanding of construction documents, plans, specifications, building codes, and trade management.

• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• OSHA 30-Hour or related construction safety certifications (preferred).
