Senior Property Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing real estate organization to identify a Senior Property Accountant to support a diverse portfolio of commercial properties. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys full ownership of property‑level financials, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants meaningful exposure across accounting, operations, and development teams. The role offers high visibility, direct interaction with leadership, and long‑term growth as the company continues to expand.

Primary responsibilities of the Senior Property Accountant role include:

• Manage full‑cycle accounting for an assigned portfolio, including monthly close, journal entries, and financial reporting
• Review AR/AP activity, perform bank reconciliations, and monitor cash activity
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial packages for internal stakeholders, lenders, and partners
• Coordinate annual budget preparation and assist with forecasting and estimates
• Support CAM‑related calculations and recoveries for retail properties
• Assist with tax return coordination, distribution of partner reporting, and ad hoc analysis
• Partner cross‑functionally with operations, leasing, and development teams on property‑level needs
• Contribute to special projects, process improvements, and reporting enhancements as assigned by leadership

Primary qualifications include:

• 5+ years of commercial real estate accounting experience, ideally with exposure to retail assets
• Strong understanding of CAM activity, reconciliations, and property‑level reporting
• Experience managing full‑cycle accounting for multiple properties
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with Yardi or other real estate systems preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA a plus but not required
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and comfort working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment

Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
