Senior Property Accountant
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX (Onsite)

A well-established commercial real estate firm is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to oversee financial reporting and the month-end close process for a portfolio of properties.
This role is ideal for someone who brings a strong grasp of property accounting at a portfolio level and can operate independently. You’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financials, identifying issues early, and ensuring everything is audit-ready.
Manage the full month-end close process across assigned properties
Perform bank, loan, and intercompany reconciliations (including due-to/due-from)
Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, reclasses, prepaid amortization)
Maintain fixed asset/depreciation schedules and track WIP activity
Review the General Ledger and analyze variances
Ensure financial data is accurate, complete, and delivered on time
Collaborate with operations and asset management teams to resolve discrepancies
Hands-on experience with Yardi Voyager recent experience (required)
3–5+ years of property accounting experience (commercial real estate strongly preferred)
Proven ability to independently manage full-cycle month-end close
Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals (debits, credits, journal entries)
Experience with:
Bank and loan reconciliations
Intercompany transactions
Accruals, prepaids, and depreciation
Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, basic data analysis)
Experience managing multiple properties or entities at once
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve accounting discrepancies independently
Strong ownership mindset with attention to detail
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
