What You'll Do

As a Senior Property Accountant, you'll serve as a key member of the accounting team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across multiple properties and entities.

Key Responsibilities for Senior Property Accountant

• 
  
• Lead month-end close activities for assigned properties and legal entities
• 
  
• Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• 
  
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide insight into key fluctuations
• 
  
• Support annual audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests
• 
  
• Assist with multi-entity reporting, consolidations, and portfolio-level financial analysis
• 
  
• Partner with leadership to enhance accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and internal controls
• 
  
• Collaborate with property management, asset management, and other cross-functional teams
• 
  
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen financial reporting processes
• 
  

What You Bring

Required Qualifications for Senior Property Accountant

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• 
  
• 4+ years of progressive experience in property accounting, real estate accounting, or financial reporting
• 
  
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes
• 
  
• Experience with financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
• 
  
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to work efficiently with large datasets
• 
  
• Experience supporting audits and maintaining strong internal controls
• 
  
• Experience with Yardi software
• 
  

Preferred Experience

• 
  
• Background in commercial real estate, industrial real estate, REITs, institutional real estate, investment management, or similar environments
• 
  
• Experience working in multi-entity accounting structures
• 
  
• Exposure to portfolio-level reporting and consolidations
•
