Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yrSenior Property Accountant Job DescriptionA New York owner-operator/developer seeks an experienced senior property accountant in the Manhattan office.We are seeking candidates who are detail-oriented, proactive in their responsibilities, and have broad real estate knowledge of shopping centers, retail, and other asset types. Candidates need to be able to work on their own and work well in a team environment.Monthly Responsibilities Responsible for the monthly reporting packages consisting of shopping centers, office buildings, development properties, garages, and retail spaces.Update the escrow balances and mortgage summary.Review cash flow and various management.Provide outside accountants with the statement of changes, and sources and uses.Reconcile tenant security accounts.Responsible for creating AP batches for the mortgages.Review and approve invoices.Review bank statements.Update the escrow and mortgage balances for Treasury.Maintain accounting records.Review distribution schedule provided by the Treasury Department.Annual Responsibilities Prepare quarterly status reports with asset management.Prepare the annual budgets and 3-year projections with Property Managers and Lease Administrator for leasing assumptions and operating expenses.Review CAM reconciliations for budgets and year-end.Prepare year-end audit workpaper packages and deliver to auditors.Work with the auditors to complete the audited financials.Record journal entries for consolidated books at year-end.Update GAAP straight-line excel schedules for year-end.Update GAAP depreciation excel schedules for year-end.Other Responsibilities Submit quarterly financials.Monitor progress of capital improvement budgets.Responsible for entering property tax bills in Yardi.Annual filing of Income and Expense forms.Prepare TC201/203's and tax petitions with the outside accountants.Required knowledge of Yardi Voyager's Custom Financial Reports and Advanced Budgeting Tools.Seniority Level Mid-Senior levelEmployment Type Full-timeJob Function Accounting/AuditingIndustries Real Estate and Accounting#J-18808-Ljbffr
