RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for meeting the property tax needs of CBRE's clients assigned including property tax appeals and property tax estimates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Acts as the primary client interface for day to day operations

Communicate with taxing authorities related to appeals. Attend property tax valuations hearings as appropriate.

Properly communicate with the client regarding appeal recommendations.

Review properties assigned to evaluate whether the property assessment value should be appealed.

Prepare and complete property valuation appeals including considering all valuation methods that are appropriate including income, market, cost, equity, and applicable exemptions.

Responsible for preparation of support to prepare billing.

Assist the Director in developing new ways in which to more efficiently review and appeal property values.

Identifies and reports to leadership how individual results can be leveraged to develop additional revenue.

Develop and bring forth ideas targeted areas for new revenue.

Maintains proper state property tax agent licensing.

Mentors Associate level team members as needed to support the clients needs

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree preferred in business, accounting, finance or related field. 4-6 years of client facing property tax assessment and overall knowledge of property valuation procedures and related regulations.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

As required by state licensing body.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

4. Only operate warehouse equipment and machinery (e.g. pallet jacks, manlifts, etc.) if properly trained, qualified and authorized to do so
