Join a fast-paced Vehicle & Propulsion Controls team focused on delivering high-quality, reliable software for electrified and internal combustion (ICE) powertrains. This role is ideal for an experienced validation engineer who enjoys hands‑on testing, troubleshooting, and working across both Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) and vehicle environments.As a Senior Propulsion Controls Validation Engineer, you will execute validation strategies, identify software issues, and support root‑cause analysis to ensure robust powertrain system performance. You will also provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members while operating with a high level of independence.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute Design Verification Plans (DVPs) across HIL and vehicle testing environments to validate propulsion control systemsReview propulsion system requirements for clarity, completeness, and testability and ensure alignment with validation test casesIdentify gaps or inconsistencies in requirements and collaborate with design teams to refine and update DVPsPerform issue pre‑analysis and troubleshooting to accelerate root‑cause identification and resolutionDevelop and execute edge‑case and failure‑mode test scenarios to uncover potential system defectsConduct testing on electrified and ICE propulsion system architectures using HIL rigs and test vehiclesSupport On‑Board Diagnostics (OBD) validation and diagnostic testing activitiesDocument test results, defects, and validation evidence to support issue tracking and resolutionIndependently manage validation activities, timelines, and deliverables in a fast‑paced environmentProvide informal mentoring, including peer reviews of test strategies, troubleshooting support, and best practicesBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field5 or more years of engineering experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work independently or collaboratively in a fast‑paced environmentStrong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyEffective team player with strong interpersonal skills, comfortable in a multi‑cultural matrix organizationProfessional communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)Hands‑on experience working on HIL and/or vehicle platforms, both on‑site and remotely as neededPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related fieldExperience with HIL and vehicle software validation testing methodologiesProficiency in network protocolsStrong understanding of propulsion system architecturesHands‑on experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, and INCA toolsKnowledge of hazard analysis criteria and electronicsExperience simulating CAN messages via CAPL#J-18808-Ljbffr
