We are currently hiring for a Senior Engineer to join one of our top clients in the energy and utility space! As a Senior Relay Protection & Control Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and/or managing a contractor to produce elementary/schematic diagrams as well as relay settings and studies associated with substation P&C design projects. You will be an Engineer supporting Substation projects, including large scale greenfield and existing brownfield installations, and will be expected to be perform with minimal supervision.SkillsDevelopment of relay protection schemes using microprocessor-based relaysDevelopment of control protection schemes (RTU, SCADA, Annunciator, Metering etc.) using primarily SEL RTAC RTU. (plus, but not mandatory)Protective device coordination for transmission lines, buses, transformers, capacitor banks, circuit breakers, and reactorsDevelopment of logic diagrams and relay settings to support relay schemes.Transmission level impact and feasibility studiesLoad Flow and Short Circuit StudiesExperience with SEL AcSELerator, Diagram Builder and QuickSet a plus but not mandatory.Experience with ASPEN relay Database and One-Liner a plus but not mandatory.Experience with CYMDIST a plus but not manadatoryAdditional Skills & Qualifications7-10+ years' experience in high level transmission, high level distribution or both power system protection studies and/or relay & control settings6 years accepted with Master's Degree or PEPreparing reports documenting the process and results of the studies performedPerforming reviews of studies performed by others and provide constructive feedback.Mentoring less experienced associates to help them progress on projects such as relay and/ RTU replacements and/or control projects involving multiple relays.Utilizing good verbal and written communication skills with team membersWorking with the Section and Principal Engineers to define project objectives, prepare design estimates, and define project requirements and design approaches for large or complex projects.Capable of acting as Supervising Engineer on complex studies which require interfacing with other departments.
