Job Title: Senior Python Developer / Full-Stack Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Python Developer / Full-Stack Engineer to design, develop, and support modern cloud-based applications. This role requires more than strong coding skills-the successful candidate will work directly with business teams to understand requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and contribute to application architecture and solution design.

The ideal candidate is a versatile full-stack/"jack-of-all-trades" engineer who is comfortable working across backend development, frontend applications, databases, cloud services, APIs, security, and DevOps. Experience working in small to mid-sized organizations, where engineers routinely take broad ownership of solutions, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using Python.
• Build and maintain modern web applications using React; Angular or Vue experience will also be considered.
• Design and develop backend services, APIs, and application integrations.
• Work directly with business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Participate in solution architecture and application design, including technology selection, integration patterns, data architecture, and scalability considerations.
• Develop cloud-based applications using Microsoft Azure or comparable cloud platforms.
• Design and integrate applications with NoSQL databases such as Azure Cosmos DB or comparable technologies.
• Develop secure APIs and integrations using modern authentication and authorization approaches.
• Participate throughout the complete software development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, database, cloud, and performance issues.
• Work with DevOps teams and tools to support automated builds, testing, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with business, product, engineering, and technical stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
• Contribute to applications incorporating AI/LLM capabilities where appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• Strong professional development experience with Python.
• Hands-on full-stack web application development experience.
• Strong experience with React; candidates with Angular or Vue experience will also be considered.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform such as AWS or GCP.
• Experience working with databases, preferably NoSQL technologies.
• Experience with Cosmos DB is preferred, but MongoDB, DynamoDB, or comparable NoSQL experience is acceptable.
• Strong experience designing and developing APIs and application integrations.
• Understanding of modern software architecture and application design principles.
• Experience working across multiple layers of an application rather than within a narrowly defined development function.
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders, understand requirements, and independently develop appropriate technical solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to operate effectively with limited oversight.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• GitHub and modern source-control practices.
• Databricks experience.
• Healthcare industry experience strong plus.
• Application security fundamentals.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), tokens, and secure API authentication.
• Experience with AI/Generative AI technologies, including:
  • LLM-based applications
  • LangChain
  • Microsoft Copilot
  • Azure AI Foundry
• Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building and deploying cloud-hosted web applications.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications.
