Senior QA Automation Engineer - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer for a contract-to-hire position with a Regional Financial Institution located in Columbus, OH. This is a 3+ month contract-to-hire opportunity working 4 days on-site in Columbus, OH.

Compensation: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:
In this role, you will be part of a team working to develop solutions enabling the business to leverage data as an asset. As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will develop automation test strategies and frameworks, ensuring all IT SDLC processes are documented and practiced while working closely with multiple technology teams across the enterprise. Key technologies include: JCL, DB2, CICS, JSON, Swagger, zOS Connect, Java/Fuse, SOAP UI/Ready API, Git, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor quality assurance efforts for multiple concurrent projects focused on data publishing and integration, ensuring alignment with banking regulatory standards
• API Testing Experience
• Automated testing in Selenium
• Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to support scalable and secure operations
• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies covering System Integration Testing (SIT)
• Collaborate with data engineers, developers, project managers/scrum masters, and compliance teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and traceability throughout the lifecycle
• Drive continuous improvement in QA processes
• Design and implement a scalable test automation framework and strategy
• Create daily/weekly test execution metrics and status reporting
• Assist the Project Managers/Scrum Masters to drive the project team to defect resolution
• Leverage existing tools/techniques to streamline and automate wherever possible
• Actively participate in walk-through, inspection, review, and user group meetings for quality assurance
• Actively participate in the review of project requirements, data mappings, and technical design specifications
• Analyze data, troubleshoot data issues, and create action plans to address data quality issues
• Collaborate with project team on defect analysis and triage
• Participate in production implementation verification and be accountable for validating system quality

• Senior-level QA/testing experience
• Hands-on test automation experience; any framework is flexible
• Selenium or comparable automation tool
• Strong SQL/database validation
• API testing
• Ability and personality to teach and mentor a junior tester

• Mainframe testing or exposure
• Cloud experience
• Banking or financial-services experience
• Experience building or improving an automation framework
