Below is the list of the essential duties for QA Engineer (6-8 years of software QA experience): 
 
  1. Understand suite of applications that are supported in Product and Software
  2. Manage user stories, test cases, test execution, defects, and resolutions in Microsoft Azure DevOps.
  3. Develop & extend test automation frameworks for UI, Microservices, Databases & API using various automation tools like Katalon, Ready API, etc.,
  4. Develops and maintains the automated UI and API test cases.
  5. Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies.
  6. Analyze project requests to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
  7. Develop detailed technical test cases for various types of interfaces including SOAP and Database level procedures (inclusive of complex data validation).
  8. Collaborate with BSA, SMEs, Functional QA Engineers, Development teams, and Support teams to understand how new features should be tested and contribute to automated tests for these new features.
  9. Works closely with lead/supervisor and other team members to deliver Quality QA artifacts on time.
  10. Document defects and collaborate with the development team on managing test results and feedback to developers.
  11. Works closely with lead/supervisor and other team members to deliver quality QA artifacts on time.
  12. Knowledgeable of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.


Most important are Web Service/API testing, UI testing, System Integration Testing, and Automation experience.
Large project – must be able to work under pressure, work with multiple teams, and get up to speed quickly.
