The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Biovia-based workflow and recipe development, regulated laboratory systems, and QC process optimization and a proven ability to design, automate, and enhance end-to-end laboratory workflows while ensuring data integrity and compliance.Responsibilities:Create automated laboratory workflows and develop or modify Biovia-based laboratory recipes for Quality Control use.Collaborate with business stakeholders and end users to gather feedback and propose new functionalities.Report defects, test new software features, and support continuous system improvements.Design and enhance reporting functionalities and interfaces within laboratory systems.Work with end users to design and optimize complex workflows and processes using BPMN fundamentals.Prepare and maintain documentation in regulated laboratory environments following GDP.Required Skills & Qualifications:Proficiency creating and modifying Biovia-based recipes and workflows for QC laboratories.Domain knowledge in biotechnology, chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, or analytical chemistry.Experience in regulated environments such as ISO or GMP with understanding of data integrity concepts.Hands-on familiarity with laboratory techniques such as chromatography, spectrometry, coulometry, or particle analysis.Knowledge of laboratory processes including certification, IPC, and sample lifecycle.Experience creating and maintaining documentation in compliance with GDP standards.BPMN fundamentals with ability to partner with end users on workflow design.Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach in international teams.Minimum 8 years pharmaceutical experience and 5 years in software development or Quality Control.Preferred Skills:Knowledge of Ph. Eur, USP, ICH, MHRA, and related standards.Experience with LIMS systems such as LabWare, CoreLIMS, or LabVantage.Experience with ELN/LES systems, especially Biovia ONELab.Experience with laboratory software such as Empower, LabX, Chromeleon, MassHunter, or OpenLab.Knowledge of CSV, GAMP5, 21 CFR Part 11, and EU Annex 11.Experience in pharmaceutical method validation, cleaning validation, or instrument qualification.Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe and Business Analysis concepts.Understanding of code versioning concepts.Education and Experience:BS/BA and 8-11 years in Computer Science or Life Science, or equivalent.Master's degree and 6-9 years in Computer Science or Life Science, or equivalent.PhD/JD and 3-6 years in Computer Science or Life Science, or equivalent.Minimum 8 years pharmaceutical experience.Minimum 5 years in a Software Development role or Quality Control.Work Environment:Office environment.Potential exposure to hazardous materials and chemicals.Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.Why BCforward?At BCforward, we believe in advancing lives and careers.
