Job Description

Responsibilities: of the Senior Quality Engineer: Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities, including PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) Develop and maintain inspection plans for manufactured components, assemblies, and equipment Identify opportunities to improve inspection technologies, techniques, data collection, and sampling methodologies Develop process capability metrics and utilize statistical methods to improve manufacturing processes and sampling frequencies Review procurement specifications, engineering designs, fabrication procedures, maintenance work packages, and technical documentation for appropriate quality controls Review and evaluate First Article Inspection (FAI) packages Lead investigations into quality escapes, nonconformances, and manufacturing defects to determine root cause and corrective actions Develop and implement Quality Management System (QMS) improvements Evaluate test equipment, precision measuring instruments, instrumentation, and gaging requirements Apply GD&T principles to inspection and manufacturing quality activities Utilize Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies to improve product and process quality Coach and mentor team members on quality engineering principles, processes, and best practices Manage quality engineering deliverables to meet project schedules, budgets, and production requirements Ensure compliance with applicable quality, safety, security, and environmental requirements Qualifications: for the Senior Quality Engineer: 5+ years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment Experience working with NQA-1 Quality Assurance requirements and quality systems Experience developing PFMEAs, Control Plans, inspection plans, and Measurement System Analysis Strong understanding of manufacturing quality processes, inspection methodologies, and process capability Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action Experience reviewing engineering specifications, manufacturing procedures, and quality documentation Experience evaluating precision measurement equipment, instrumentation, and gaging Strong knowledge of statistical quality methods and process improvement techniques Ability to independently manage quality engineering activities with minimal oversight Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance if required High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline preferred Preferred Qualifications: Top Secret or TS/SCI Clearance (or Active DOE Q clearance) Experience supporting centrifuge manufacturing Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Experience with high-precision metal forming, machining, or finishing processes Demonstrated experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma, and/or Lead Auditor certification Formal training and hands-on experience in root cause analysis Experience supporting highly regulated or nuclear-related manufacturing environments Compensation: for the Senior Quality Engineer includes: Salary: $90,000 - $130,000 depending on experience Comprehensive Benefits Package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, and Paid Holidays #LI-MM1 #LI-ONSITE
