The company’s Aerospace Group offers an opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer.
The plant manufactures pressure sensors for commercial, military, and space applications.
Responsibilities:
Plan and direct activities related to the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards and systems for processing materials into products.
Develop and initiate methods and procedures for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
Interface with suppliers and external customers to resolve product issues.
Devise procedures, forms, and methods for recording and evaluating quality data.
Develop and implement methods and procedures to assess and manage the cost of discrepant material.
Provide quality technical assistance to internal and external customers and suppliers.
Collaborate with employees engaged in measuring and testing products and recording quality and reliability data.
Compile and generate training material and conduct training sessions on quality activities.
Conduct supplier control activities including purchase order review, resolution of non-conforming products, and review of corrective action responses from suppliers.
Perform Material Review Board (MRB) activities, including scrap material processing.
Act as a liaison with customers and governmental agencies, such as the FAA and DCMA, regarding quality activities.
Participate in internal and external control and review activities such as internal audits and product audits including customer reviews.
Respond to customer requests for information and coordinate activities of FAA certified Repair Station.
Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Ability to understand technical data.
Knowledge of measurement systems.
Understanding of statistics and root cause analysis.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or technical role.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred but not required).
Experience in aerospace, medical, or other highly regulated industries.
