About the PositionFoxconn is seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Quality Engineer to join our team. In this critical role, you will ensure product quality across complex PCBA and system-level manufacturing processes, while serving as a key technical liaison between internal teams, suppliers and customers. You will lead data-driven investigations, drive corrective actions and hold partners accountable for meeting quality standards. A major focus of this position is ensuring flawless quality execution during New Product Introduction (NPI) builds, partnering with engineering and operations teams to validate manufacturability, compliance and scale-up readiness.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for supplier quality management across component and material supply chain, ensuring compliance with internal quality standards and customer requirementsLead supplier qualification, onboarding, and audit activities (system, process, and product audits) to ensure supplier capability and readiness for productionOwn incoming quality control (IQC) process including inspection criteria definition, defect analysis, and non-conforming material disposition (MRB)Drive supplier corrective action process (8D / CAPA), including containment, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and effectiveness verificationSupport real-time production issue containment for supplier-related quality problems impacting SMT/PCBA manufacturing linesCollaborate with cross-functional teams (SMT, PE, QE, Manufacturing, Planning, Engineering, and PM) to resolve quality issues and ensure build stabilityMonitor supplier performance metrics (PPM, defect rate, audit score, delivery quality) and drive continuous improvement initiativesSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including supplier readiness, first article inspection (FAI), and risk mitigation for new materialsAnalyze defect trends and drive preventive actions to reduce recurring supplier issues and improve process capabilityEnsure vendors comply with ISO standards, customer requirements, and internal quality system documentation and compliance/safetySupport internal, customer, and regulatory audits with proper traceability and documentation readinessAct as key escalation point for supplier quality issues, ensuring timely communication and resolution across stakeholdersDrive Supplier Quality Score MatrixAct as first-line escalation for supplier-related and material-related quality issues impacting production outputSupport line-side containment activities including defect identification, segregation, quarantine, and WIP controlCoordinate suppliers for fast resolution of incoming material or component issues affecting productionRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.Minimum 5 years' experience in quality or manufacturing engineering.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with expertise in yield, test and defect data analysis.Solid understanding of SMT, PIH, test processes, and RMA repair.In-depth knowledge of electronic theory, digital/analog circuitry and PC system architecture.Expertise in applying IPC-A-610D (acceptability of electronic assemblies) and J-STD-001 (JSPEC) soldering standards for complex PCBA and system assembly.Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong customer service orientation in handling escalations and supporting client deliverables.Preferred QualificationsExperience in NPI quality management, including ramp-to-mass production transitions.Experience in silicon manufacturing and testing environments.Familiarity with mechanical manufacturing processes.Professional certifications (Six Sigma, Lean, CQE, etc.).Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).Salary and ShiftSalary Range: $95,000/annum - $105,000/annumShift: Mid-Day (~12:30PM-9:00PM)Foxconn Assembly, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
