Position Overview Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer (PQE) to implement and develop quality engineering and customer quality flow‑down requirements throughout the proposal and program life cycle with our Focal Planes Operations group. This onsite role is located in Goleta, CA.Responsibilities Create or tailor existing quality plans to administer customer and internal quality requirements.Implement quality engineering responsibilities as a member of a program Integrated Product Team (IPT).Identify, contain, and manage programmatic and technical risks throughout each phase of business pursuit and program implementation.Ensure quality engineering engagement in program development, design, test requirements and verification, including the transition of design to production.Lead multi‑functional teams in problem resolution and continuous improvement activities with an emphasis on 8D, Six Sigma, Lean practices, and other critical‑thinking improvement methods.Manage the completion of Internal First Article Inspections (FAIs).Guide business and program performance utilizing predictive and proactive measures and metrics.Maintain positive relationships with program administration, cross‑functional stakeholders, suppliers, customers, and government representatives.Qualifications – Must Have Minimum five (5) years of experience in quality, engineering, or operations.Background in applying and adhering to ISO 9001, AS9100, and other industry and government quality requirements and standards.Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodology and resources.Experience in predictive and proactive measures, metrics assessments, and actions to improve performance or mitigate problems.Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret).U.S. citizenship required.Preferred Qualifications Experience in business strategic planning, proposals, engineering development, material and service acquisition, production, test, product acceptance, and post‑delivery support.Infrared, semiconductor processing, or DoD industry experience.Past or present member/ chair of material and failure non‑conformance review boards (MRB/FRB).Experience in risk and opportunity management, assessment, mitigation, and capture.Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ) or Six Sigma certification.Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS), Cost Account Management (CAM), base of estimation (BOE).Experience with statistical and metrics software (e.g., Tableau, Minitab).Experience with factory systems and software (e.g., SAP, Windchill).Experience with manufacturing processes and cleanrooms.Experience leading, mentoring, and collaborating with program teams.Strong written and verbal presentation skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Security Clearance Securing a U.S. government‑issued Secret clearance is required.
