Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find an experienced Senior Quality Engineer in Spartanburg, SC. In this challenging and rewarding role, you will join a manufacturer specializing in high-precision metal components. In a Senior Quality Engineer job, you'll be responsible for:
Lead closed-loop problem solving (8D/A3), including containment, root cause, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification.
Implement and improve shop-floor quality systems to meet shipping requirements.
Plan and execute process/product audits and verify effectiveness of corrective actions. Provide timely KPI reporting (PPM, scrap/rework, COPQ, audit results) and escalate quality risks with clear recommendations.
What you'll need:
5+ years in Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001; internal auditor certification preferred.
Proficiency with 8D/A3, PFMEA, control plans, MSA, SPC, and corrective action systems.
